Philanthropy

    Community service is a strong ideal that is instilled in all women throughout our Panhellenic community. Each year all members participate in multiple philanthropic events, raise funds for their own causes, complete hundreds of community service hours, and support other organizations in their philanthropic endeavors.

    Our biggest philanthropic event is Greek Week, which is one of SDSU's largest student-run events.  More than 2,000 members of SDSU's 39 Greek chapters worked together to raise money for a chosen charity. A variety of events take place over the course of the philanthropy-inspired week including a talent show, chapter fundraising and Olympic-style Greek Games. Last year, the charity we chose was Cure For Africa, which was started by 2 SDSU Students.
